Tour Description
The tour usually starts in the Council Square. From here we’ll visit the Black Church, the largest Gothic Cathedral in South-Eastern Europe. We’ll stroll in the Old City streets and get to Catherine’s Gate. We’ll go up to Schei Quarter, formerly the Romanian Quarter, and visit St Nicholas Church and the First Romanian School. We’ll get back to the Citadel and enter through the Schei Gate, pass by the Synagogue and turn right to the Rope Street, the narrowest street in Europe. We’ll see a view of the City while walking on Tampa Alley, outside of the Old City Walls.
We’ll get back to the City, this time entering through the former Main Gate which is now at the bottom of Republic Street, nowadays hosting shops, coffee houses, open air restaurants.
