A Sense of Hong Kong  (one day trip)

8:30 a.m. I reached Man Kam through customs spending half an hour to clear

9:00 a.m. I got on bus 270A to Tsim Sha Tsui East to Shangshui Station where a bus\ taxi\subway is available to anywhere in Hong Kong.

Along the road, every turn is scenic. Thick green trees and colorful flowers fill the roadside and clean, neat houses and buildings peek out from the tropical forest. Soon after, the bus meanders beside the sea looking at the impressive modern city from a distance; with ever-present green rocks bordering the sea and white clouds floating in the blue sky, fresh air blows into your every cell. Truly, it is a moving experience for the senses.

10:30 a.m. I reached Victoria harbor, where the sea surface is broad, a ferry  for transporting passengers crosses between the north and south banks busily. Fishing boats/ cruisers/ sightseeing ships/ ten-thousand-ton ships and their horns fill up this beautiful bustling seascape.

I took the ferry to the opposite shore where I changed from the ferry to Bus 15 to Victoria Peak.

11:20 a.m. I reached the peak.

Stood on Victoria Peak, looked down on the panoramic view of Hong Kong; it is a breathtakingly beautiful view, modern and fashionably buildings are on both sides of Hong Kong. The perfect mixture of warm people and lush nature will surprise you.

After having lunch at the peak, I took a tram to lower Albert Street.

1:00 p.m. I experienced the city more deeply by waking through the streets, Along Lower Albert Street, forward to Hollywood Road where the three faces of Hong Kong are evident: Western culture/ Eastern culture/ traditional old China.

Walking along the street, different cruise restaurants from different countries/ antique shops; herbal shops/ aquatic products shops line both sides of the avenue. Then I came a temple exposing a Chinese religion. At the end of road is Hollywood Park that shows the history of Hong Kong.

5:00 p.m. I got on the bus to return to Shenzhen city.

Hong Kong is worth visiting for any traveler; it is bright and striking, close to wild mountains and the sea; its urban atmosphere while dense is organized; it is peaceful though in the midst of intense prosperity.

I will continue to report my bus and walking tours for you  here and http:// Southchinatourguide.com.
