Tour Description
The Perfume Pagoda is a complex of Buddhist pagodas and shrines built on the mountains. In which, Huong Tich grotto was titled " the most beautiful grotto in the South sky" by the King. It is also one of the most important religious sites in Buddhist of Vietnam. Every spring, after the Lunar New Year, thousands of Vietnamese pilgrims come here to pray for health and prosperity in the new year.
We start at 6.30 AM, heading to the south to My Duc Town, where Perfume pagoda locates. It takes around 2 hours to arrive. We arrive Duc Pier to go on boat to Yen Stream. The beautiful Yen stream is 3 km long. Relaxing on the boat for 1 hour, tourists can take picture of beautiful mountains, green fields along side the stream.
We arrive Thien Tru harbor, then climbing stone stairs to Thien Tru pagoda (the way to heaven), where there is beautiful garden and altar of Goddess of Mercy. Then we take the lift (or trekking) to Huong Tich grotto to see special stalactites in forms of the rice, golden and silver trees, the tree which connect the earth and the heaven... Then time for lunch.
After that, we go down to the Giai Oan pagoda (clearing unjusted charges). Then rowing the boat back to the pier. If you are interested, there are some pagodas along side the Yen stream which we can stop by. And we can see the ducks swimming, fisherman catching fish and selling eels, snails, fishes on their boat. Floating coffee shops are available on the stream.
after 2 hours, we will arrive Hanoi around 6PM.
