Ciao! This tour is a perfect experience for those who have already been to Rome and want to experience something new off-the-beaten-paths.

I will meet you at your stay in Rome in the city center (within the Aurelian wall) and by taxi, included in the final price, we will reach the Saint Clemens Basilica.

we will get into the history discovering the layers of the construction of the city, as if it was a true Lasagna! In fact this church was originally built in 400 on top of some houses and religious temples. In 1100 a new layer was added on top and the rest buried...

Second stop of our tour will be the Roman Houses where again we will go under a church to discover the tracks of the ancient past: we will walk through the rooms of two buildings buried to build the new Christian temple.

Length of the tour: 3 hours

A nice walk filled with surprises, out of the crowds and avoiding the heat. Highly recommended during the hot summer days from June to September.

Because of the steep steps and the narrow passage, this tour is for great walkers and unfortunately is NOT wheelchairs accessible.
