Tour Description
Pick up from your hotel at 9:00am. Transfer to Ming Dynasty Wall Relics Park(1hour) to have a roam, then take the car tour along the former outer city's moat. We pass by Yongdingmen Tower - the former front gate of the outer section of Beijing's old city wall.
Ming Dynasty Wall Relics Park:
In 2002, the Beijing Ming Dynasty City Wall Relics Park officially opened, displaying the remaining parts of the ancient city wall in a pleasant park that runs in a straight line along the approximately 1.5 kilometer section of the wall that still remains. Construction of the temple began in 1420 and at the temple emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties worshipped heaven and prayed for abundant harvests. Finally roam along the Dashilan and Qianmen Street(1hour), a prosperous area for more than 600 years. Return to your hotel.
Temple of Heaven:
The Temple of Heaven in the southern part of Beijing is China's largest existing complex of ancient sacrificial buildings. The Temple of Heaven is situated in the southern part of Beijing, about 6 Km away from the center of the city. Traditionally, this temple was for imperial use only. It was built in 1420, covering an area of 273 hectares, it is the one of the largest parks in Beijing.
