Tour Description
Day 01 Beijing ( L )-- Mutianyu Great Wall,Changling Tomb
Pick up from your hotel lobby at around 8:00am.Transfer to Mutianyu Great Wall by car, hiking trails will lasts for about 2hours.The Mutianyu section, 2,500 meters (2,734 yards) long, connects the Juyongguan Pass in the west and Gubeikou in the east. Rimmed by mountains, it is filled with beautiful flowers in spring; abundantly verdant in summer; charming with red-leafed maple trees in autumn and enchanting covered in pure white snow in winter.
Mutianyu Great Wall:
Beijing Mutianyu Great Wall, is one of the most famous and best preserved sections of the Great Wall together with Badaling and Jinshanling sections. Located in the northeast of Beijing Municipality, Mutianyu is connected with the smaller hotspot sections of Jiankou in the west and Lianhuachi in the east. This section used to serve as the northern wall defending the capital city and the Imperial power, like a giant galloping dragon on mountain peak preserving the entrance to emperors' kingdom.
Lunch at local characteristic restaurant.
In the afternoon transfer to Changling Tomb for sightseeing(2hours), Changling Tomb for the third emperor Zhu Di is head tomb of the thirteen tombs . The tomb was constructed in 1409 and completed in 1427. It is the most impressive with its series of magnificent halls lying beyond its yellow-tiled gate. Return to your hotel.
Changling Tomb:
Beijing Chang Tomb is the largest and oldest of the tombs. Construction on the mausoleum began in 1409 and lasted four years. Buried here are Zhu Di, the third emperor of the Ming Dynasty, and his empress. The forecourt has three courtyards and all the halls are covered with yellow glaze tiles on their roofs. The second yard was built after the Hall of Supreme Harmony of the Forbidden City. It is one of the largest wooden buildings in China and is supported by sixty unpainted poles made of nanmu. Unearthed objects are on display in this hall. Behind is a tower called Ming Lou (Bright Tower), the symbol of Chang Tomb.
Day 02 Beijing( L )-- Gaobeidian Village
Pick up from your hotel lobby at 8:30 am. First visit the Guo Shoujing in front of Gaobeidian Village(40 minutes).According to historical records from the first emperor of Yuan Dynasty to the 28th year of Yuan(A.D 1291),Guoshoujing,water transport superintendent took orders to build water conservancy project,and completed it in the autumn of 30th year of Yuan Dynasty, the river named Tong Hui. Then visit to the Memorial Site of Pingjin Sluice Gate.Appreciate the features of sluice gate with one-thousand-year history and feel the cultrue of water transportation. Transfer to visit the Classical Furniture Street. Wander through over fur-hundred shops and feel extensive and profound furniture culture in Ming and Qing Dynasties.Lunch at local family.
After lunch to visit learn about Chinese calligraphy writing(40 minutes) and learn Traditional Chinese exercise Taiji performance at the village(1.5hours),after learn return to your hotel.
Day 03 Beijing( B )
After breakfast, transfer to beijing airport for departure or free activity on your own.
