Pick up from your hotel at 9:00am and transfer to Hutong area. A hutong is a simple alleyway, usually running East-West, onto which more architecturally interesting buildings open.If you walk into a small lane from a busy and noisy main road in Beijing, you will be able to see another view: rows of bungalows, narrow alleys and casual Beijing dwellers. Take rickshaw for sightseeing of inner Hutong(1.5hours) and visit a local family and learn D.I.Y Chinese dumplings and have a dumplings lunch(3hours). 

D.I.Y Chinese dumplings:

To make Chinese dumplings, first of all, chop the meat into pieces and mash them, then add salt, sesame oil, soy sauce, ginger, scallions, Chinese cabbage and MSG if you like. Mix thoroughly the ingredients; add two spoonful of water if necessary.In a big bowl, add water to flour gradually. Mix and knead by hand to form soft dough, then cover it with towel and put it aside for about an hour. Then scatter some dry flour on the board, knead and roll it into a sausage---like dough about 5 centimeters in diameter, then chop it into small pieces. Press each piece with your hand and get a pancake. Finally, to hold the pancake with your palm and put the filling in the center and wrap into half-moon shaped and seal the edges.

After lunch, move on to Digital Beijing to look around at the old Beijing is called modern by many well-know experts and scholars. It's made by Mr. Wang Daguan who put life-long effort on drawing the scroll and fully reflects the old Beijing during 1920s and 1930s. The scroll is 22 meters long and 0.26 meters wide. This is with high artistic value, historical value and high academic value, also belongs to national third-level cultural relic.Painted about city walls, city gates, moats, gardens, temples, churches, imperial city, palaces, streets, alleyways, shops, teahouses, restaurants, people's houses and thousands of buildings; scene with theater, a temple fair, shopping, selling, wedding, funeral, entertainment and play for fun which all include the levels of people's daily life and all walks of life. There are thousands of characters in all these activities life likely.
