Pick up at 09:00 and drive about 1.5 hours to the Mutianyu Great Wall, the most beautiful section of the Wall and less touristy. You could either take the Gondola up and down or chair-lift up and Toboggan down.

As one of the best-preserved parts of the Great Wall, the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall used to serve as the northern barrier defending the capital and the imperial tombs. First built in the mid-6th century, Mutianyu Great Wall is older than the Badaling section. During the Ming dynasty, under the supervision of General Xu Da, construction of the present wall began on the foundation of the wall of Northern Qi. In 1404. In 1569, it was rebuilt and till today most parts are well preserved. The Mutianyu Great Wall has the largest construction scale and best quality among all sections of Great Wall.

Drive back the city to see Hutong, the old and original part of Beijing which means water well in Mongolian. We will take the rickshaw to tour around Hutong, as well as visiting a local family to get to know traditional Beijing courtyard residence (Siheyuan) and authentic local people's life.
