Tour Description
ITINERARY
Day 1: Nairobi/Masaai Mara
0930hrs: Leave Nairobi for Masai Mara Game Reserve, picnic lunch en-route. On arrival proceed to the campsite. After a short rest proceed for a game drive in search of Black Maned Lions, Elephants, and leopards, Cheetah, Buffalos and other plain's game. Return to the camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Masai Mara
0630hrs: After breakfast, proceed for an early morning game drive. Return to camp for lunch. 1600hrs. After lunch, a further game drive. Dinner and overnight at the camp/Masai mara.
Day 3: Masai Mara/ Naivasha
After breakfast, leave for Lake Naivasha. After lunch visit Hells Gate National Park and the Geothermal power plant. Proceed to Fisherman's camp Lake Naivasha for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Lake Naivasha/Lake Nakuru
Leave after breakfast and drive to the home of millions of flamingoes and the home of the white rhino and about 350 different species of birds. Its known as: ORNITHOLOGICAL PARADISE. Dinner and overnight at the Geneviv hotel.
Day 5: Lake Nakuru /Kisumu
Depart for Kisumu immediately after breakfast. Arrive in Kisumu by lunch time. Check in at Le Savannah Hotel. Have lunch and thereafter visit Kisumu Impala Park, enjoy game viewing at close range and have nature walks as well. Have picnic lunch and a boat trip thereafter (Optional).
Day 6: Kisumu
Enjoy this day with a visit to Mundeku Village in the heart of Kogelo, the ancestral home of Barrack Obama. This visit will allow you to visit a children’s orphanage, a school and a demonstration farm. This will give you a chance to mingle and interact with the Luo community and learn their way of living. Lunch is at Martha’s Guest House. Spend the afternoon at the village until late afternoon when you return to Kisumu for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 7: Kisumu / Iten
After breakfast leave for Iten. This is the Kenya’s home of Champions. It hosts a High Altitude training facility for Kenyan Athletes and is home to Kerio Valley. The Valley is visible as a brown thread winding through the thorn bush 1000m below. Many top athletes have trained here in the past and include South Africa’s Ezekiel Sepeng, Olympic 3000m gold medalist Ezekiel Kemboi and top 1500m runner, Daniel Komen (junior). Arrive in Kerio View Hotel at lunch time. Have lunch in their beautiful restaurant erected on a high ground good for viewing the Kerio Valley. The breeze is amazing too. After lunch, have nature walks. This hotel has demarked nature trails good for birding, nature walks and photography. You can also opt to visit nearby Athletes Camp (This is where the great Kenyan runners train). Interact with athletes from the area. Dinner and Overnight at Kerio View Hotel.
Day 8: Iten / Nyahururu
Depart for Nyahururu after breakfast passing through Kabarnet Town. Have a stop-over at Chebloch Gorge for short sightseeing and viewing beautiful sceneries on the way. Enjoy the meandering of the road as well. You will pass by Nakuru before Lunch time. You will have an option of taking or carrying packed lunch to Nayahururu. Leave Nakuru for Nyahururu a town that hosts the Famous Thompson Falls where you will have a chance to see splashing sounds of water hitting the rocks and also visit the Hippo point. Dinner and Overnight will be at Thompson Falls Lodge.
Day 9: Nyahururu / Nairobi
Depart Nyahururu for Nairobi after breakfast climbing and descending the eastern wall of the Great Rift Valley to arrive in Nairobi at Lunch time. Check in, Lunch and rest in the afternoon. Dinner and Overnight at Ole Sereni or Eka Hotel.
Day 10: Nairobi / Mombasa
After breakfast, depart for coastal city of Mombasa the second largest city in Kenya.
Mombasa is one of Kenya's most famous cities and a holiday getaway. It has a long and rich history dating back over 1500 years when it started as a trading port.
You will be dropped at Turtle Bay Beach Club that will be your home for the next 3 days. Accommodation for these days will be on Half Board basis (Breakfast and Dinner).
Day 11 / 12 / 13: Mombasa
Stay at Turtle bay beach club. Participate in as many activities as you can. During the day, choose from Tennis, Beach Soccer, Table Tennis, Volleyball, Water Aerobics and much, much more. In the evening, enjoy Traditional African Tribal Dancers, Theme Nights, Acrobats, Quiz Nights, Snake Shows or Dancing under a tropical starlit sky with live music or disco.
Day 14: Mombasa / Nairobi
After breakfast, you will be picked up and depart for Nairobi.
