Day 1. 6 hours drive from Chengdu to Songpan along the Minjiang valley, short stop at Yingxiu to visit to the Memorial Hall of Earthquake on May 12, 2008. 

Day 2. morning departs for Huanglong National park, spend about 5 hours trekking and sightseeing there, then go to Jiuzhaigou

Day 3. full day excursion in Jiuzhaigou park, waterfalls, lakes and forest.

Day 4. drive from Jiuzhaigou back Chengdu, it's about 8 hours journey.

If you don't have enough time, you can to go by flights instead of overland, which the trip can be tailored to 3 days.

It's possible to add 2 or 3 more days stop over at Songpan for horse trekking.

The trip can be customized  for further keep going up to north via Langmusi and Xiahe to Lanzhou.
