Day 1. early departs from Chengdu, following 318 national road to Kangding via Ya'an, the altitude from 500 meters to 2500 meters in 6 hours, beautiful scenery make you easily forget the time and high altitude uncomfortable. Along the way, will pass 4176 meters long Erlangshan Tunnel, highest road tunnel in China, after arrives in Kangding, go to visit the Tibetan styple Anjue Monastery and county town.

Day 2. drive from Kangding to Tagong （3730 meters), 3 hours journey pass by 4300 meters high Zheduo Mountain pass, good pictures for Minya Gongga Snow mountain from there. At Tagong, visit Tagong Monastery and try horse riding to the grassland.

Day 3. Tagong to Danba, visit Zhonglu and Suopo Bell Tower villages along the way, overnight at family hostel at Danba Jiaju village, night banquet and dance celebrating with local villagers.

Day 4. Danba to Luding, visit the suspension steel cable bridge which is famous for a fierce battle in Red Army history on their well know Long March up to north China in 1935.

Day 5. Luding to Chengdu, 5 hours easily drive back to Chengdu and finish the trip.

It's possible to add one or two day to this trip, one extra day can go to Mugecuo Lake near Kangding, stay one extra day at Tagong go to visit herdsmen who live deep in the grass valley.

In May, there will be horse riding race at Tagong grassland, which is the best time to go.
