Day 01  Arrival in Kunming

Upon your arrival, our English speaking guide will pick you up at the airport and transfer to your hotel. Visit the Bamboo Monastery.

Bamboo Monastery: A Tang Dynasty (618-907 A.D.) temple known for its Arhat statues, is the most famous of Kunming's temples. The present Bamboo temple was rebuilt in the Guangxu Era (1833 to 1890). 



Day 02  Kunming - Lijiang - Shangri-la (Breakfast + Lunch)

Take morning flight to Lijiang, our tour guide will meet you at airport and then drive to Haba Village. On the way, sightseeing in the famous Tiger-Leaping Gorge. Overnight at a guesthouse in Haba Village.

Tiger Leaping Gorge: One of the longest, deepest and narrowest gorges in the world. 



Day 03 Haba Snow Mountain (Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner)

Trek up the Haba Snow Mountain for about 5 hours, then build your Base Camp at a suitable place about 3800 m above sea level.

Haba Snow Mountain: Haba Snow Mountain boasts glaciers, lakes and waterfalls, and contains one of the best preserved nature reserves in Shangri-la. 



Day 04 Haba Snow Mountain (Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner)

In the morning, hike to the nearby lakes to enjoy the beautiful scenery. After picnic lunch, move up to a higher place (about 4200 m) to build your Camp 1. 



Day 05 Haba Snow Mountain (Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner)

If the weather is good, try to reach the top of the snow mountain(5396 m). If the weather is not good, you also can try to get as high as possible. Overnight in Camp 1. 

 

Day 06 Haba Snow Mountain (Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner)

Today, if the weather turns good, you have another chance to try to reach the top, then trek down to Base Camp and overnight there. 

 

Day 07 Haba Snow Mountain - Shangri-la - Lijiang (Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner)

Trek down to Haba Village, then drive back through the Tiger-leaping Gorge to Lijiang. 

 

Day 08 Lijiang (Breakfast + Lunch)

Sightseeing in Lijiang old town which is a World Culture Heritage. Attend the Naxi Classical Music concert this evening.

Naxi Classical Music: A crystallization of Taoist rite, Confucian ceremony, and the literary lyrics, poetic topics and musical tones of the Tang, Song and Yuan Dynasties, Naxi Ancient Music has developed its own unique style and traits - the result of 500 hundred years of evolution. The traditional Naxi classical music is regarded as a 'living fossil of Chinese music.'

 

Day 09 Lijiang - Kunming (Breakfast + Lunch)

Take morning flight to Kunming. Tour to the Dragon Gate in Western Hills, then visit Bird & Flower market. Transfer to the airport for your departure, end of service.

Western Hills: Located at the west bank of the Dianchi Lake, is set in mountains well covered by evergreen woods and filled with sweet songs by lovely birds, perfect for hiking. Dragon Gate consists of the Sanqing Temple Complex and the Dragon Gate Grotto Complex.
