A wonderful city surrounded by mountains Brasov
Many people have various ready-made ideas when they travel to Romania. First, because they don't know where we are, what language we speak, how safe it is to travel here and what to do once one arrives at the airport or right in this city. Once you have a contact here, it's much easier to organize trips around. First of all you should know Brasov lies 20 km away from the famous "Dracula castle", a bit of history that is worth seeing any time of the year. Then, for the wintertime, it lies 12 km away from a famous and busy skiing resort that is an important attraction for winter sports. As I haven't mentioned yet, the city itself is a place to spend 2-3 days visiting the most important historical monuments dating from the Middle Ages and it also has several pubs, restaurants and clubs to attract people at night. For nature lovers, tours in the surrounding area can be organized, there are reservations to see and medieval villages with fortresses to visit. My personal recommendation is that once you make reservations for hotel or hostels or other kind of accommodation, make sure it's in the center of the city as it's easier to go around on your own or guided by the tour guide you choose. There are several big hotels but also smaller and cheaper ones, as well as a variety of restaurants where you can eat international food or local, traditional Romanian food. If you wish to have an enjoyable vacation, plan it thoroughly before, then make reservations in time. Choosing a guide means also informing him/her about your interests and possibilities. Thus, misunderstandings can be avoided and you may benefit from all information one can gather before you arrive.
Wishing you all a most pleasant stay in our country and city and looking forward to show you and tell you things that only local guides know and share.
