The Natural Regional Park Verdon

The Verdon Gorge Canyon is one of the most beautiful canyons in Europe formed by the Verdon River. The Natural Park is located in Alpes de Hautes Provence, it is 25km long, and in places 700 m deep. Its color is beautiful turquoise green which is also one of the reasons why it is so popular among the tourists. 

Most of tourists come here during summer period when the water is warmer as well as weather. The canyon area is perfect for active vacations like hiking, climbing, mountain biking, and even horse riding, but the most popular sports here are kayaking, rafting, canyoning, and paragliding.
