About this place
Namhansanseong, recent excavations have confirmed the walls and buildings
built in the middle of the 8th century.
The historical and cultural value of Namhansanseong Fortress was highly recognized and
was newly listed as a World Heritage Site at the UNESCO General Assembly held in Doha, Qatar in June 2014.
It was also the place where the humiliation of Samgundo occurred during the Joseon Dynasty.
