The Gokyo Ri Trek is an 11-day adventure that takes you through some of the most breathtaking landscapes in the Everest region of Nepal. This trek is a perfect blend of adventure, culture, and natural beauty, and is an ideal trek for anyone looking to explore the Everest region beyond the standard Everest Base Camp Trek.

The trek begins with a scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, a small mountain town that serves as the gateway to the Everest region. The flight is a thrilling experience in itself as you soar over the stunning Himalayan landscape.

Upon arrival in Lukla, you'll meet your guide and porters and set off on your trek towards Phakding, a small village that lies at an altitude of 2,610m. The trek takes you through charming villages and dense forests, with stunning views of the Dudh Koshi River and the surrounding green hills.

The next day, you'll continue your trek towards Namche Bazaar, a bustling town and popular trading hub in the Everest region. The trail passes through beautiful pine forests and crosses several suspension bridges over the Dudh Koshi River. The following day, you'll trek to Machhermo, a beautiful village situated at an altitude of 4,470m. The trail takes you through several small villages, and you'll enjoy stunning views of the mountains, including Cho Oyu and Thamserku.

The next day, you'll trek to Gokyo, a beautiful village situated on the shores of the Gokyo Lake. Along the way, you'll pass through the village of Pangka and cross the Ngozumpa Glacier. The scenery is truly stunning, with towering peaks and turquoise lakes all around you.

Once you reach Gokyo, you'll have a rest day to explore the village and the surrounding area. You can take a short hike to the nearby Fifth Lake, which offers stunning views of Cho Oyu and Gyachung Kang. Alternatively, you can relax by the beautiful Gokyo Lake and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

The highlight of the trek is the hike up to Gokyo Ri, which offers stunning panoramic views of Mount Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, and Cho Oyu.
