One day tour to Duong Lam ancient village will kick start at 8:30. Our guide will pick you up in your hotel and transfer you passing through the breath-taking North Red River Delta to the west to Duong Lam ancient village in Son Tay province. After the arrival to Duong Lam which is known as a remarkable monument to Vietnam’s social history. Wander around the narrow alleys and detours, enjoy the “languish” pace of life of villages. The rejection of modern needless conveniences makes it a significant escape for daily hustle.

9:30 am: Art & Architecture exploration, visit some UNESCO Conservation Heritage: Duong Lam Ancient Gate, Mong Phu Communal House and 400-year-old houses

Featuring the beauty of Vietnam in the old days, the original village entrance located near the banyan tree remains untouched to welcome guests to the village. Next, you will stop over at the Mong Phu communal house which is a testament to the beauty that has existed along with time. The national monument Mong Phu communal house is a highlight of symbolic architecture with carvings and constructions showing skillful craftsmanship. Next, you will have a chance to visit the 400-year-old old laterite house with a kite-shaped tile roof and stunning decorative engraved patterns on the wall.

10:15 am: Admire the religious site, continuing with the visit to Mia Pagoda, one of the oldest temples in Vietnam which was built in 1853 by a royal concubine of Trinh Trang Lord. It displays 287 Buddha statues outstandingly are the renowned sculptures of the statue of Buddha and the statues of the ‘Eight Vajra Deities’.

12:00 pm. After that, you will be served with local delicacies such as glutinous rice wine, che lam, soft green-lentil cake and rice cake (depending on season). Speak with the locals to get some insight into Vietnamese culture to broaden knowledge about this ancient village.

13:00 pm. Visit Ngo Quyen temple and Phung Hung temple which were built to commemorate two national heroes - Ngo Quyen and Phung Hung.

14:00 p.m: Optional tour to Tay Phuong Pagoda

On the way back to Hanoi, if you are interested you will be transferred to 8th-century Tay Phuong pagoda situated in Thach That province. Tay Phuong pagoda is the second oldest pagoda just after Dau Pagoda in Bac Ninh Province. It depicts typical dthe long-lasting artist culture of architecture and sculpture in Vietnam.

From here you will have a 45-60-minute transfer to Hanoi late this afternoon
