February 7th Incident Memorial MuseumⅠ

On February 7, 1923 was a sad day for Chinese laborers. The workers on the Jinghan Railway (Beijing-Hankou Railway) were on strike but they had been brutally cracked down by the forces of the feudal warlords. This event marked the progress led by Chinese Communist Party that the common laborers were aware their rights and freedoms.

The Memorial Museum of the February Seventh Incident was found in February 1987. It clearly demonstrates the sufferings that gave pains to the Chinese people in early twentieth century. Labor workers especially to those worked to build railway tracks were often harassed, tortured and even killed by imperialists of foreign powers and local warlords. This humiliate history was mainly due to the fact that the Chinese nation at that time was so poor and the county's strength was very low.
