Qianlong GardenⅣ

The third part is comprised of some old architecture such as Songxiu Pavilion, Yanqu Tower, Cuishang Tower and Fuwang Pavilion and so on. The most attractive one is the small pavilion on artificial hill. Five columns of the pavilion look like the cinquefoil. The ceiling and the sided balusters were all carved with shape of plum blossom. The tip of pavilion was also decorated with the shape of plum blossom. On the pavilion, there was also the inscription “碧螺” written by Emperor Qianlong. At one time, Emperor Kangxi southwardly visited Taihu Lake and drunk the wild tea presented as tribute by local official, and then Emperor Kangxi gave this tea an elegant name: Biluochu(碧螺春, Biluochun is one of the ten most famous teas in China.
