Labrang Monastery

The Labrang Monastery---It is located in the of west of Xia He County of Gan Nan Tibetan Autonomous Prefeture.“Labrang” is Tibetan tone,which means mansion of the highest living Buddha.The monastry was built in 1709 AD, which wins a reputation name as the Tibetan institution of higher learning of the world.At the period of great prosperity the number of monks reaches over 4000.
