Humen Bridge

It is the first large-scale suspension bridge in China, and its main waterway is 888 meters in diameter. It ranks among the highest in China and is known as the "world's first crossover".

Construction of humen bridge began in 1993 and opened to traffic on the eve of Hong Kong's return in 1997. The main cable of the bridge is 16.4km long, and each main cable is composed of 13970 galvanized steel wire with a diameter of 5.2 mm in diameter.
