Kvarner – best of gastronomy, heritage, nature and fun

Are you interested in a vacation that combines snowy slopes and a sea view? Would you like to marvel at a canopy of stars in the midst of a city center? Day 1:  Rijeka

Arrival to Rijeka, and meeting at one of the city's famous sites. We will check into the hotel and do some sightseeing of the city, including a visit to the Croatian National Theatre, St. Vitus Cathedral, the Leaning Tower, and the Governor's Palace. We wrap up the tour with a stroll down Molo longo. Scheduled after the sightseeing is dinner and free time. We spend the night in Rijeka.

Day 2: Rijeka  – Risnjak NP – Rijeka

After breakfast, we leave for Risnjak national park. Following the sightseeing of the park, we take off towards the Platak ski resort, which offers an amazing lookout point at the top of the Radaševo pathway, from which you can see the islands Cres and Lošinj. Our next destination is Grobnik, where we dine at the Aerosteak restaurant. We return to Rijeka after dinner, and spend the night there.

Day 3: Rijeka

We meet with an expert guide after breakfast to visit the torpedo factory. Next, we visit the Hartera paper factory. We will see the remnants of the factory and the mills, as well as the Rječina canyon. After the sightseeing, we leave for Martinovo Village, where we will visit the Grobinšćina heritage museum and the Gašpar mill, the last operational mill on the Rječina river. We then return to Rijeka for dinner, free time, and spending the night.

Day 4: Rijeka – Fažana – Brijuni – Vodnjan – St. Lovreč – Rijeka

We leave for Fažana after breakfast, where we board a ferry to Brijuni national park. We will meet an expert tour guide at the Veliki Brijun port, who will conduct the sightseeing of the island, the safari, the museum, and the archeological collection. You can enjoy some free time afterwards, followed by a return to Fažana. We then leave for Vodnjan, where we will do sightseeing and visit the ecomuseum and the sacral art collection in the Parish church of St. Blase. After some free time, we leave for dinner and prosciutto tasting in the Voštani restaurant in St. Lovreč. We return to Rijeka, where we spend the night.

Day 5: Rijeka

Breakfast. We leave for Trsat, famous for one of the largest shrines to the Virgin Mary in the Republic of Croatia. We will do sightseeing of the Church of the Lady of Trsat, the Church of St. George, the Trsat Castle, and then return to the center down the Trsat stairs – a series of 600 stairs that connect the hill with the city center. The remaining time is at your disposal. Spending the night.

Day 6: Rijeka – Učka Nature Park – Opatija - Rijeka

We leave for Učka nature park after breakfast. We will inspect the park and climb Učka's highest peak – Vojak, which offers the most stunning view of Istria and the Kvarner bay. Next, we will have lunch at the Dopo lavoro restaurant, which offers a variety of venison dishes. We then set off for Opatija, where you will have free time before returning to Rijeka. Spending the night.

Day 7: Rijeka

We check out of the hotel after breakfast. You will have free time for visiting souvenir shops or other interesting destinations. Departure.
