Tour Overview:

Day 1:Lhasa. Nightstay in Lhasa.

Arrive and first meet in Lhasa, receive the Hada for good luck. Then set out for this Holy City with the altitude of 3658ms. Do some easy activities for acclimatization in the rest of the day.

Day 2:Potala Palace-- Jokhang Temple--Barkhor Street.Nightstay in Lhasa.

Morning, Pay a visit to the Symbol of Lhasa--Potala Palace,which is the most sacred ancient architectural complex in Tibet. It was the residence of the Tibetan Dalai Lamas, as well as the political, educational and religious center of Tibet. Afternoon,Drive to Jokhang Temple for a tour in the spiritual center of Tibet,appreciated the profound and delicate history and culture of mysterious Tibet.Then take a walk at Barkhor Street around Jokhang Monastery, experience the traditional culture and daily life of Tibetan.

Day 3: Lhasa --Yamdrok Lake --Palkhor Monastery --Shigatse.Nightstay in Shigatse.

Morning after breakfast, Drive over the Gambarak Mountain Pass to Yamdrok Lake, one of the three holy lakes in Tibet( 638 square kilometers with an altitude of 4441 meters),enjoy the expansive nature of Tibet for some while. Then make a visit to Palkhor Monastery in Gyantse via Karo-la Glacier and Manla Reservoir on our way to Shigatse-- the largest city in Tsang.

Day 4: Shigatse--Sakya Monastery--Xegar.Nightstay in Xegar.

Morning, visit Sakya Monastery on ther way to Xegar after breakfast. Sakya Monastery is the main monastery of Sakya Sect with a history of more than 900 years. It holds rich historical and cultural relics, among which the Buddhism scriptures are most noted.

Day 5:Xegar--Mt. Everest Base Camp --Xegar. Nightstay in Xegar..

Morning, set off  early  for Rongbuk Monastery--the highest in the world.( 5100 ms above the sea level and 20kms from Mt.Everest.).Enjoy the visit inside see the day of Tibetan monks and nunsm, and the landscape of Mt. Everest. Then go back to Shigatse via Xegar.

Day 6:Xegar--Shigatse.Nightstay in Shigatse.

Morning,Return to Shigatse along the national road of China and Nepal. Appreciate the natural landscapes on the way.

Day 7:Shigatse--Yarlung Zangbo River Valley--Nyemo County--Lhasa.Nightstay in Lhasa.

Morning after breakfast, set the tour direction to Lhasa and drive on the same international road of China and Nepal, enjoy the unique valley landscape of Yarlung Zangbo River Valley on our way to Lhasa.

Day 8: Leave Lhasa

Departure in Lhasa by train or plane, Happy Ending.
