Tour Overview

Day1 Chengdu--Ya’an--Shangli. Nightstay in Shangli.

Chengdu is listed as 1 of 10 best place for living. After a natural wake. Start a tour to explore this city, visit Jinli or Wide-narrow Lanes, taste local snacks&cuisine, and discover the local traditions, feel the wonderful lifestyle of relaxation.Noon, Drive to Shangli Ancient via Ya’an city to taste the classic time of Chengdu.

Day2 Shangli--Ya’an--Luding--Kangdi--Xingduqiao. Nightstay in Xingduqiao

morning, Leave Shangli, then go along Qingyi River and through Erlang tunnel--the longest in China, stop at Kangding for food and water supply, then rent a van to cross Zheduo Mountain (4298m)for Xinduqiao which’s highly spoken to be the paradise for photographer.

(Notice:we may go in a different route: Shangli---Ya’an---Shimian---Luding---Kangding---Xinduqiao. It depends on the weather and size of the group.)

Day 3  Xingduqiao--Tagong. Nightstay in Xinduqiao.

Spend a morning of photography with camera, record the amazing scene of light and shadow. Noon, leave for Tagong where to see the Tagong Monastery and Muya Golden Pagoda on peaceful grassland.

Day4 Xinduqiao--Yajiang--Litang--Daocheng. Nightstay in Daocheng.

Morning, leave Xinduqiao, drive over Gaoershi Mount(4412m),take a look at the highest Konka Mountain (7556m)of Sichuan from far, then pass Yajiang and Litang, enjoy the pretty highland scenery out of van window, arrive in Daocheng at dusk.

(Notice: The part from Xinduqiao to Litang is kind of bumpy due to the road reconstruction. Be prepared. On the good side,we can try the local tasty fish at dinner)

Day5 Daocheng--Riwa--Yading.Nightstay in Yading.

After breakfast,explore Gongling & Bangpu monastery. which can date back to the 12th century. Then Drive to Yading via Riwa, on the way, visit the red grassland,if time permit, stop at Rupuchaka Hot spring for relaxing in a bath. Late afternoon arriving in Yading for overnight.

Day6 Yading National Park.Nightstay in Longtongba.

Morning, get on the green park bus for Longtongba, then 2.5h hike up to Pearl Lake of 4000m to appreciate the grand beauty of glaciers, Snow mountains and rivers. After the hike trip,back to longtongba for overnight.

Day7 Yading National Park--Riwa. Nightstay in Riwa.

Morning, hike 2h 4km from Longtongba to Chonggu Temple, then hop in an electric van for half hour to Luorong Pasture of 4180m. Then hike ride a horse up to Milk Lake and Five-Color Lake for breathtaking views of 3 sacred peaks: Mt. Jampelyang, Chanadorje and Chenresig. After it,go back to Longtongba and transfer to Riwa by green bus for overnight.

Day8 Riwa--Daocheng--Xiangcheng. Nightstay in Xiangcheng.

A driving day from Riwa to Xiangcheng. Along the way, enjoy picturesque views of barley fields, snow-capped mountains,running rivers

Day9 Xiangcheng--zhongdian. Nightstay in Shangri-la.

Morning, get ready another full day tour on wheels from Xiangcheng to Zhongdian. stop for a hike in Birang Gorge on the way

Day10 Shangri-la Tour. Nightstay in Shangri-la.

Morning, visit Songzanlin Monastery, the largest one of Tibetan Buddhism in Yunnan. After that, drive out to Shangbala Nature Reserve where you will spend the rest of the day enjoying the Tibetan countryside.

Day11 Shangri-la--Tiger Leaping Gorge--Lijiang.Nightstay in Lijiang.

Morning, Drive in direction the most renown ancient town:Lijiang. On the way, pay a short visit to The First Bend Of Yangtze River and Tiger Leaping Gorge which can not be missed. Evening,arrive at Lijiang for the amazing night scene. Happy Ending.
