The biggest slaughter house in east Asia---1933

About this place
Built by the British in 1933, this was the biggest slaughter house in east Asia. Today, it is a home to Shanghai's art community, featuring modern art galleries, a theatre and design workshops. The most attractive aspect of this sight is the unique nature of the art deco buildings, dimly lit with narrow and winding staircases and imposing high walls.
