The History and story of Subway station -Bei Tu Cheng
Bei Tu Cheng is northern city wall ruins in yuan dynasty. It is about 9 kilometers long across haidian and chaoyang districts. It was first built in the yuan year to yuan four years (AD 1267). When Yuan 13 years (1276 AD) formed the main building.
The northern city wall of Yuan Dadu is all made of rammed earth with the base of 24 meters wide and about 8 meters width at the to & about 16 meters high, therefore calls Bei Tu Cheng .
Abandoned the northern city wall of Yuan Dadu in Ming dynasty and moves 2.5 kilometers to the south. AnDingMen and DeShengMeng were rebuild the city wall. The the earth wall of Yuan Dadu on both sides of east and west were completed change to brick walls.
After the northern city wall of Yuan Dadu is abandoned, it became desolate. Until the Qing dynasty has become a high ridge.
The northern city wall of Yuan Dadu in 1957 is listed as cultural relics protection unit, then it named "Yuan Dadu city wall ruins park" by the Beijing municipal government in 1988. Now the ruins of Yuan Dadu City Wall has become a bright scenery.
